On 29th November 2025, Hyderabad witnessed something extraordinary.

This was the 11th edition of the Digital Women Awards, and the third year that Hyderabad had the honour of hosting it. Organised by SheThePeople, India’s largest storytelling platform for women, the day became a celebration of dreams woven with grit, innovation fuelled by purpose, and a collective rise of women who are shaping India’s digital destiny.

In 2015, Shaili Chopra — award-winning journalist, author, and a fierce believer in women’s voices — founded SheThePeople.
Her dream was simple, but revolutionary:
“Women’s stories deserve to be seen, heard, celebrated — not hidden in a footnote.”
What began as a digital platform is today a movement.
A living archive of tens of thousands of women’s stories, a growing ecosystem of founders, creators, innovators, dreamers and doers.
Shaili’s leadership has helped rewrite the narrative of women-led entrepreneurship in India — making space, giving visibility, offering courage, and building a community where women uplift women.
